Who here thinks Cubs will be better team than the so called "baseball" experts predict. As long as they play hard and cut down on errors (the inexperience of youth since Starlin Castro still is only 21) and Barney 24. The cubs have nowhere to go but up considering the catastrophe that was the 2011 season:( As a Cub fan I will always root for them and expect that this will be the year they win the World Series-If you only root for teams when they win (and forget them when they lose) your not a fan:)
There are tons of fairweather fans and I can say they are not thought of very highly from those who follow the team closely. hth

Please Harden win Game 3 in LA!!!!
I am praying that Rich Harden beats the Dodgers in game 3 of the playoffs and that the Cubs can overcome their mental mistakes and errors to win this series.
As a die hard Cubs fan it is killing me to watch them play fundamentally poor baseball-probably the worse performance of the year. I have faith that this is the Cubs year and although the odds are stacked against them, the Cubs must persevere.
Chicago is a better team then LA. Based on record, batting average, runs differential, and on base percentage they should be leading the series. It will be unfair if the lesser team wins just because they happen to get hot at the right time.
The same thing happened to the Cardinals in the year they won the world series. They got hot in the playoffs but had a very poor regular season.
If the Cubs do not advance my interest in the rest of the playoff games on Fox will be non existent. I believe many fellow Cubs fans will feel the same way. I cannot root for the Phillies, LA or Milwaukee. I bleed Cubs blue.
The Cubs are the only reason I watch baseball. Take away the Cubs and the playoffs become a lot duller. I would bet the ratings for the NLCS would nosedive as well.
The Cubs are a team of destiny. Anything less then a trip to the World Series can be considered a failure.

What would you do when Cubs win their first world series in 100 years?
I am wondering what other cubs fans will do when cubs win their first world series (should be this year.) While I would feel bad that some of their long time fans died without seeing this happen, it would a unique, special event.
I would be so happy I would buy all the official cubs world series memorabilia they sell after the teams win the world series. i know those official cubs world series t-shirts, shirts, hats, etc will be worth bubkus in a few years (look at footlocker and the cheapest stuff on clearance is the "official world series/superbowl. NBA championship" gear from 2 to 3 years ago.)
A better memoribilia would be buying a selection of chicago newspapers with the big headline cubs win world series. Wow, readers of this blog, you owe me big for that free tip:)
